2022/2023 Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have re-appointed James Essilfie as their Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Mr Essilfie returns to the position four years after stepping down.
He had occupied the position for 11 years but resigned to take up a board membership role at the club.
He served as a Board Member in charge of Administration.
“Medeama Sporting Club is delighted to announce the return of Mr. James Essilfie as the Club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a new and exciting chapter in the Club’s journey,” the club said in a statement on Tuesday, October 28.The statement recalled that Mr Essilfie’s leadership and vision while CEO “were instrumental in transforming Medeama SC into a competitive and respected force in Ghanaian football, both on and off the field”.
As a member of the club’s board, he is said to have provided strategic guidance and institutional memory to support their continued growth and success.
“The President, Board, Management and our dear supporters are thrilled to welcome Mr. Essilfie back to where it all began over 15 years ago,” the club further stated.
“His vast experience, deep understanding of the Club’s culture and unwavering commitment to excellence are expected to further strengthen Medeama’s organisational structure and long-term vision.”
Medeama SC, who are currently leading the 2025/26 League, hope to continue the pursuit of excellence in Ghanaian and continental football.
